The Plant

Plant Modernization and Expansion

Shams Textile Mills Limited is know for using quality raw materials and for manufacturing end products that are in keeping with the competitive standards of the industry.

Currently there are 3 production facilities:

Unit-1  Polyester cotton yarn. (24,960 spindles, capacity 400,000 Kg/month)

Unit-2  Knitting and weaving yarn. (22,176 spindles capacity 442,000 Kg/month)

Unit-3  Multi count, multi twist and fancy (slub) yarn (12,096 spindles capacity 816,480 Kg/month)

Keeping up to date with market trends is a policy Shams Textile Mills Limited has always adhered to. It is due to this policy, and the market demand for fancy yarn, that Shams has set up a new unit entirely dedicated to the production of these yarns. This well facilitated unit has a capacity of 816,480 Kg/month and produces export quality multi-count, multi twist and fancy (slub) yarn.

Evenly blending the raw material is one of the key elements to producing quality finished products. Shams Textiles Mills Limited is committed to quality and therefore uses the latest machines to achieve this end.

This machine is equipped with the largest coilers available in the market and it allow us to produce longer silvers; thus minimizing the number of joints and enhancing the durability of the yarn.

This high speed draw frame from Toyota facilitates the precision and efficiency of the drawing process. Toyota Finisher Drawing DX8-T. This new double delivery draw frame with auto leveling adds to the proficiency and adeptness of the process.

Roving (Simplex)

This machine allows for settings to be stored and reproduced any time. Automatic roving separation minimizes the manual work to merely removing the full roving bobbins and replacing them with empty tubes.

Bobbing Transport

With a consolidated bobbin transfer system, this highly efficient technology minimizes the manual handling of the material.

Compact spinning

Zinser Ring 351-C3 (Compact)

With the COVEMAT auto doffing system it has become viable to produce compact yarn that has better texture, is less hairy and more durable.

Winding

Savio Link Coner Orion ``I``

Control over the product is optimized through a bridge that connects the spinning frame to the winders and allows for auto doffing of the bobbins. The twin splicing system is efficient and produces a better quality splice than the parent yarn.

Conditioning

The strength of the yarn is assured through an aggressive conditioning process that treats the product with steam.
